Meet Our Guest
If Seishindo Developer, NLP trainer and Coach Charlie Badenhop had to use just one word to describe himself and his background, it would be eclectic.
In 1985, he moved to Japan from his place of birth, New York City. He lived there for 30 years and now lives in Thailand.
His Japanese clients used to say, “Charlie-san has a foreign face and name, but a Japanese heart.” My Western clients tell him he offers an intriguing Eastern sensibility, couched in modern terms.
He’s glad to hear people say these things, because he loves the combination and cross-pollination of Eastern and Western cultures that his work offers. It’s a mix of the best of Western problem-solving and positive thinking skills with Eastern contemplative awareness.
If you’re drawn to better understand the intersection and interaction between your thinking mind and your emotions, so that what you really want leads to the actions you take in life, then you will likely appreciate what Charlie can teach you.
He’s a native New Yorker, the son of a captain in the New York City Fire Department.
He graduated from the University of North Carolina- Chapel Hill, with a degree in Political Science, and was an officer in the U.S. Navy.
